KACO magnetic encoders: the customer’s desires are all-important
KACO develops and produces customer-specific magnetic encoders for the automotive industry and mechanical engineering, for rotary and linear applications.
Magnetic encoders can be used to record rotational speeds, velocities, torque, forces, angles or positions and to use the information for controlling shafts in engines, gearboxes, steering gear, ABS and linear systems.
Active magnetic encoders are produced on the basis of a ferromagnetic powder, preferably ferrite, in a polymer/elastomer matrix. They are then magnetised according to the specification. Passive magnetic encoders have the information mechanically imprinted into the steel.
