With effect from 1 July, 2014, the sealing systems specialist KACO GmbH + Co. KG has a new majority owner. The ZhongDing-Group China has acquired the majority of KACO GmbH + Co. KG Heilbronn from the Brazilian Sabó-Group. The acquisition consists of an 80 % investment in the parent company as well as the foreign subsidiaries of the KACO-Group. The Sabó-Group retains a minority share of 20 %.
Meanwhile, the former Sabó-Group subsidiary Sabó USA in Lincolnton/North Carolina has also been integrated into the KACO-Group under the name KACO USA. With this integration, KACO has expanded its footprint as a global automotive supplier with a strong manufacturing presence in all the relevant regions. The new ownership structure and strengthened global presence will open up new prospects for the KACO-Group on the international markets in the upcoming years.
The KACO-Group will be integrated into the organization as an independent division under the leadership of ZD Holding Europe based in Austria. The headquarters of the KACO-Group will remain in Heilbronn. ZhongDing will continue to rely on the current management team and structure.
